Sommario with past Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association President

Chicago attorney Frank A. Sommario has been inducted as a fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers. Sommario is a senior partner at the Chicago-based personal injury law firm of Romanucci & Blandin. The induction ceremony for the college’s class of 2026 was held on April 18 in Tucson, Arizona.

With the current installation, the college is represented by more than 500 members, including workers’ compensation plaintiff and defense attorneys, professors, and judges nationwide in 48 states, the District of Columbia, and the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario. The college was established in 2007 to recognize those who have distinguished themselves as longstanding leaders in the field.

Sommario has held numerous positions in the Illinois’ Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association, serving as past president and current comptroller. He is also a member of the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the immediate past president and current chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Italian American Bar Association, the past president and current comptroller of the Justinian Society of Lawyers, and chairman of the Justinian Society Endowment Fund, among other roles.

He has been named a Law Bulletin Publishing Company Leading Lawyer (2016-present), Illinois Super Lawyer (2016-present), Lawdragon 500 Leading Civil Rights & Plaintiff Employment Lawyer (2024-present), National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyer (2016-present) and one of The Best Lawyers in America (2017-present).
