Fra Noi Embrace Your Inner Italian
After hosting more than a century of live annual celebrations in the Chicago area, the Maria SS. Lauretana Society will turn to the internet this year to keep its venerable traditions alive. “The safety of our members and supporters is our top priority,” says Feast Committee Chairman Angelo Camarda, “but we’re not going to let this pandemic stop us.” The society will livestream the Mass on Sept. 6 as well as the Novena on the nine days leading up to the Mass. The traditional Flight of the Angels will be grounded this year, but they’ll still sing their song of praise to the Blessed Mother at the Mass. Times and other details are available at mariasslauretana.com or on Facebook at @MariaSSLauretana.
