The Italian American Executives of Transportation honored a dynamic father-son duo at their Nov. 16 gala at Ashton Place in Willowbrook. (708-212-1051) Michael Tadin Jr., president of MAT Construction Inc., was honored as Man of the Year at the event, and Michael A. Tadin, president of Marina Cartage Inc., was hailed as Humanitarian of the Year. Tadin Jr. launched MAT Construction in 1999, offering road-grinding, paving and general contracting services. The Italian American Executives of Transportation held its 47th annual dinner dance on Nov. 17 at Alta Villa Banquets. The Italian American Executives of Transportation held their 2017 Dinner Dance at Alta Villa Banquets on Nov. 19. More than 600 were in attendance, making it one of the largest dinner dances of the year. Dominic Romanazzi was honored as Man of the Year, and Wayne Bubak was honored as Humanitarian. Past IAET honoree Lou Cairo did a tremendous job as master of ceremonies. Dominic Romanazzi — Man of the Year A devoted family man and fierce advocate for workers’ rights, Dominic Romanazzi is a most deserving recipient of the Italian American Executives of Transportation’s 2017 Man of the Year Award.
