Having undergone a $4 million renovation over the last two years, Carmine’s on Rush Street in Chicago is scheduled to unveil a new look by June. Known for its classic Italian fare and vibrant atmosphere, the restaurant will feature “an upgraded dining experience, offering both traditional favorites and signature steakhouse selections in a revitalized setting,” according to a press release from parent company Rosebud Restaurant Group.
The new 10,000-square-foot building will have a one-floor layout featuring indoor dining, a new private dining room, indoor and outdoor bars, and expansive terrace space, with a total seating capacity of 366. The menu will include the restaurant’s signature stuffed mushrooms and butcher-cut bone-in ribeye.
“Carmine’s has always been a Gold Coast staple, and this renovation ensures we’ll remain a part of the neighborhood for years to come,” said Alex Dana, owner of Rosebud Restaurants. “For 50 years, the Rosebud family has been at the heart of our success, and as we continue to grow — including our expansion into Boca Raton, Florida, with the opening of Mia Rosebud — we remain committed to delivering the same exceptional dining experience that has defined us since 1974.”
Dana began building his culinary empire in Chicago’s Little Italy in 1974. Carmine’s on Rush Street first opened in 1994 as Carmine’s Clamhouse. For more, click here.
