Esposito seeks help to create culinary oasis

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Food and culture are central to the Italian-American experience. The mission of the Mary Ann Esposito Foundation is to preserve that experience for future generations while offering culinary students the opportunity to become the next generation of great Italian chefs.

The foundation is currently raising funds to create the Ciao Italia Italian Heritage and Education Resource Center.

The center will be maintained at a major American university and house the entire catalogue from Esposito’s Ciao Italia books and website. Admission will be open to any student wishing to research Italian gastronomy.

The Esposito family is contributing significantly to the project’s success, but contributions are also actively being sought from other sources.

“If at any point creating a resource center at an American university becomes unfeasible, any foundation funds will be used more broadly to support public charities that provide educational information and resources for students who want to study Italian gastronomy,” Esposito assures.

Funds are being raised through Greater Horizons, a 501(c)3 corporation. Donations of cash, stock, real estate and other assets are welcome, and all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Checks can be mailed to the Mary Ann Esposito Foundation c/o Greater Horizons, 1055 Broadway, Suite 130, Kansas City, MO, 64105. To learn more or donate online, click here.
