The Italian American Executives of Transportation held its 47th annual dinner dance on Nov. 17 at Alta Villa Banquets. With almost 500 in attendance, the event continues to deliver quality, enjoyment and many surprises.
Mario Giuseppe Weber was honored as Man of the Year. Mario is general manager for Midway Dodge, vice president of American Finance, and senior portfolio manager for JB Real Estate Management. He proposed to Hana Koussa from the podium, making the evening truly magical. The pressure was on, but she said yes!
Dr. Samuel Cascio and Dr. Joseph Discipio, two legends in the dental industry, were honored as 2018 Humanitarians. Both in their 90s, they are still bundles of energy. The good works they did and continue to do, and the people they mentored, serve as a testament to their character. Truly deserving of the honor, they delivered memorable remarks about life, love for their families and friends, and their commitment to the IAET.
The entertainment was fantastic! Jack Miuccio performed during the cocktail hour. Dinner entertainment was offered by 4 Strings Attached, a group comprised of young violin players. Phase 4 provided the main entertainment for the evening. Everyone was up and moving until the wee hours of the night.
IAET proved once again its scholarship program is second to none, with more than $45,000 awarded to 25 deserving students.
Join the IAET in 2019 when the Man of the Year will be Michael Tadin Jr. Michael’s father was IAET Man of the Year in 2008 and has stood behind IAET as a longtime member. The event is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 16, 2019.
