The Arcolian Dental Arts Society honored Dr. Geri Ann DiFranco as Arcolian of the Year at the society’s annual Christmas Party on Dec. 11 at the Park Ridge Country Club. (847-304-4442).
“Geri is a woman of outstanding ethical and moral character who exemplifies the society’s ideals of professionalism, education and service to the community,” says Arcolian President Dr. Rosella Spadoni. “She has been active in the society and in dentistry in general and she is very giving of her time and talents to worthy causes.”
A graduate of the Loyola University Dental School and Periodontal Program, she shares a periodontal practice in Park Ridge with her brother, Dr. Chuck DiFranco; sister, Dr. Josie DiFranco-Bordignon; and nephew, Dr. Chuck DiFranco Jr.
She has taught pathology and periodontics at Loyola and rose through the ranks of officers to the presidency of the Arcolians in 2007. Her community involvements have included the Mother’s Day Walk for Community Support in Park Ridge, Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation and Illinois Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped
“I am very happy and humbled to be honored with Arcolian of the Year 2018,” she says. “I’ve been fortunate in my life and I’m proud to share that good fortune with others.”
