The Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans will host its 54th annual Dante & DiFrisco Awards luncheon on May 7 at Galleria Marchetti in Chicago. ABC 7 (WLS-TV) Chicago sports anchor and Emmy Award-winning TV host Ryan Chiaverini will receive the Dante Award at the event, and ABC 7 (WLS-TV) President and General Manager John Idler will receive the Dominic DiFrisco Lifetime Achievement Award. John Idler, president and general manager of ABC7 Chicago, and Alison Pure-Slovin, Midwest director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, were honored at the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans’ annual media luncheon on May 18.
