Dr. Charles C. DiFranco Jr. has risen through the ranks to the presidency of the Arcolian Dental Arts Society.

DiFranco joined the organization as a dental student and immediately felt at home.

“There are countless dental organizations but none that have made me feel as welcome,” he says. “I think it boils down to our shared background as Italian Americans and the genuine caring we have for one another as people and professionals.”

He has held every other elected position in the organization and finds the view from the top to be quite humbling.

“We have so many local and national leaders in the field of dentistry in our group, and it gives one an overwhelming feeling of responsibility to keep our traditions going strong,” he says.

Those traditions include supporting worthy causes and assisting dental students while keeping members abreast of developments in the field, according to DiFranco. “I’m proud to be an Arcolian, and even prouder to lead our wonderful group for the next year.”

DiFranco works in partnership with his father, Dr. Charles F. DiFranco, and aunts Dr. Geri Ann DiFranco and Josephine DiFranco-Bordignon (RN), at DiFranco Periodontics and Dental Implants in Park Ridge.

A certified periodontist and diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, he earned his master’s degree in oral science and his DDS from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Joining him as Arcolian officers are President-Elect Dr. Derek Fornelli, Vice President  Dr. Paul E. DiFranco, Treasurer Dr. Mary Teresa Lima, Secretary Dr. Jessica Mattern and Dinner/Speaker Chair Dr. Lauren Allegretti.
