IC Catholic Prep’s “Ciao Italia” Italian club hosted another wonderful St. Joseph’s Day Table on March 19. Thanks to generous parental support, there was a large variety of Italian traditional foods, sweets, and beverages. Italian music provided a lively atmosphere for conversation and just plain fun. This event, held annually, is open to the members of the Italian club and their families. Alumni and Staff are also welcome to attend. This event offers the opportunity not only for the students to bond and have a good time, but also for families to socialize with other families.

I teach Italian 1, 2, 3H, and 4H at IC Catholic Prep located in the heart of Elmhurst, Illinois. ICCP is the oldest college-prep co-educational Catholic high school in DuPage County. The program is designed to get the students talking in the target language from the first day. Cultural awareness and understanding are promoted throughout the program. Instruction is guided by the foreign language national standards. Technology is used to assist in speaking and comprehending the language. Through this program, students will be able to speak the language and more fully appreciate Italian culture.
