In January, Prince Street Pizza opened its first location in the Midwest at 939 W. Randolph St. in Chicago. The eatery serves Sicilian-style, square slices, Neapolitan pizzas and signature sauces. This is the 16th location for Prince Street Pizza, which has locations on the East and West Coasts, and first opened in 2012 in New York City.
The Chicago opening was spearheaded by Prince Street Pizza founder and CEO Lawrence Longo, along with restaurateur and chef David Choi, owner of Seoul Taco.
“We are thrilled to open Prince Street Pizza in Chicago as it’s one of the greatest food cities in America, known for its incredible pizza. Our signature Sicilian pies are a great balance between the city’s famous tavern and deep-dish styles, and we look forward to introducing them on Randolph’s Restaurant Row,” Longo said before the January opening.
The 2,800-square-foot space on Randolph Street serves slices and pies made daily from scratch and utilizes a water-filtration process that replicates water used at the original location in New York City.
The eatery offers a new specialty pizza with pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, Caruso’s Hot Giardiniera and hot relish, along with flavors like Spicy Vodka with fresh mozzarella, pecorino Romano and spicy vodka sauce, and The Green Machine with nut-free pesto, shredded mozzarella, ricotta and black olives.
