Guido left Teramo, Abruzzo, for the northern suburbs of Chicago more than 25 years ago, and has earned a reputation for serving high-quality dishes, made from the finest ingredients, that reflect the flavors of his homeland.

As his business grew, Guido saw the need for more restaurants, and today he owns four from Antioch in the north to Libertyville, Deerfield and Northbrook. Each restaurant is operated by a relative who keeps a close eye on details and upholds Guido’s exacting standards.

Featuring typical Abruzzese fare as well as popular Italian dishes, Oliverii’s eateries offer choices that will tantalize the palate, including homemade pastas, fresh seafood and plenty of traditional and non-traditional menu choices.

Crespelle are a type of crepe found in Abruzzo, Timballo is a layered pasta dish, and spaghetti alla chitarra features a meat-based sauce. And available Tuesday through Saturday is Tavolo Rustico Abruzzese, an antipasto buffet that features salamini, prosciutto di Parma, mixed grilled vegetables, imported olives, aged Parmigiano, sweet Gorgonzola, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes and other surprises.
