Founded in 1966, the Italian American Civic Organization of Berwyn serves as a social, cultural and charitable outlet for its membership. IACOB hosts a Super Bowl party in January; a blood donation drive in February; a St. Joseph Table in March; a memorial Mass in May; a golf outing in August; a bocce tournament in September; a dinner dance in November; a father and son breakfast, a Christmas party for children, and food basket drive for the needy in December.

The group also offers scholarships, spearheads volunteer efforts and makes donations to worthy causes. Annual dues are $60. Officers are installed every other year in January, meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month and bingo sessions are run every Sunday at the Berwyn Park District’s Liberty Center, 6447 West 27th Place. The clubhouse at 6710 W. 16th St. in Berwyn has a kitchen, meeting area, bar, cable television, outdoor bocce court and patio with canopy.
