Justinians hosts glittering installation

 

 

On Thursday, September 15, the Justinian Society of Lawyers held its annual Installation and Awards dinner at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. Officers were sworn for 2016-2017 and honors were bestowed at the glittering gala in the presence of more than 300 attendees.

The 2016-2017 Justinian Officers had their oath administered by Illinois Supreme Court Justice, Thomas L. Kilbride, including: President, Frank A. Sommario, Partner at Romanucci & Blandin, LLC; First Vice President, Michael F. Bonamarte, Partner at Levin & Perconti; Second Vice President, Vincent R. Vidmer, of the Law Office of Vincent R. Vidmer; Third Vice President, Natalie M. Petric, Senior Enforcement Counsel in the Legal and Market Regulation Department of CME Group; Treasurer, Hon. Regina Scannicchio, Cook County Circuit Court Judge; and Secretary, Dion U. Davi, Principal and Founding Attorney at the Davi Law Group, LLC.

“We have an incredible group of leaders serving on the Justinian Society of Lawyers’ Board this year,” said President Frank A. Sommario. “I am looking forward to working with each of them to serve our organization and community to the best of our abilities.”

Antonio M. Romanucci, Principal and Partner at Romanucci & Blandin, deservingly received the 2016 Justinian Award of Excellence. His proven leadership and dedication to the pursuit of justice has improved the condition and image of not only Italian Americans but also many others. Among his many contributions, Mr. Romanucci established the Children’s Endowment Fund, which assists disabled or disadvantaged children in our community.

The Outstanding Achievement Award in the Field of Communication was given to Vince Gerasole, Feature Reporter at CBS Chicago. Gerasole joined the station in 2001 and since that time has anchored and reported for various station newscasts. He has received numerous honors from his industry as well as the community.
