IA Literati to spotlight local writers

IA Literati 2024, Casa Italia’s 20th annual celebration of local Italian-American authors, will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 13 in the Florentine Room of the Italian Cultural Center of Casa Italia. The event will begin with a meet-and-greet with the writers, followed by presentations. Additional activities include book sales, book signings and raffles, and a light lunch. Admission is free, but freewill donations are encouraged and reservations are required. IA Literati heads for the internet

This year’s IA Literati seminar was held as a virtual gathering on June 13. The event was different from any of the previous 16 instalments, according to Professor Dominic Candeloro, curator of the Florence Roselli library in the Italian Cultural Center at Casa Italia. “Authors could not gather in person due to COVID-19 so we were presented with the challenge of meeting electronically over Zoom. IA Literati spotlights local writers

IA Literati 2018 — Casa Italia’s 14th annual celebration of local Italian-American authors — ran from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 12 in the Florentine Room of the Italian Cultural Center in Stone Park. Book sales and signings, raffles, and a meet-and-greet with the authors took place at 9:30 a.m. Authors will read from their works starting at 10 a.m. Several new authors such as Frank Cesario, Anne Marie Cina, Lee Colsant and Steve Decker took part in the event along with veteran literati Arthur Cola, Dr. Bruno Cortis, Kathy DeNicolo, Tony Romano and Adam Sedia.
