The Justinian Society of Lawyers recently held its 16th annual Children’s Endowment Fund dinner at Lux Bar in Chicago. More than 60 Justinians were in attendance as the 2018 CEF recipients, Shriners Hospitals for Children-Chicago and Child’s Voice each received a grant of $3,350 from Justinian President Michael F. Bonamarte of Levin & Perconti.
The mission of CEF is to assist disabled or disadvantaged children in our community. Since establishing CEF in 2002 during his term as president, Romanucci & Blandin principal and partner Antonio Romanucci and his fellow Justinian members have raised crucial funds for a wide range of recipients, including Make-A-Wish Foundation, Bear Necessities, Ronald McDonald House of Chicagoland, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Reflections Foundation.
“The Justinian Society is fervent in giving back to our community,” said Romanucci & Blandin partner and past Justinian president Frank A. Sommario. “Both the Shriners Hospitals for Children-Chicago and Child’s Voice are incredibly worthy recipients of these funds.”
The Shriners Hospitals for Children-Chicago treats children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions and other special healthcare needs without regard to race, color, creed, sex or sect, disability, national origin, or ability of a patient or family to pay. Child’s Voice empowers children with hearing loss to be successful in all educational and social settings by optimizing their listening, speaking and academic skills.
