2012 Fashion Show

by Amy Fulmer

The place to be on Sunday, March 25, was Alta Villa Banquets for the third annual IAET Spring Fashion Show. This annual event benefits the Center for Independent Futures (CIF) and the IAET Charitable Foundation.

The latest trends in women, children and canine styles were modeled with precision, style and class. Before the attendees witnessed the many models strut down the aisle, flocks of well-dressed guests sipped cocktails and mingled with others.

There was something for everyone at the show: scintillating styles, a fabulous garden auction, a wide variety of vendors, a delectable luncheon, and even a photo booth in which to capture the memories.

The committee tirelessly worked behind the scenes, ensuring the models and puppies were dressed, primped and ready to go. First to take to the runway were the cutest new spring and summer outfits for kids from La La Land. Our child models were escorted by our doggy models, who were wearing the latest in canine fashions from Tails on Taylor. Cleo Boutique provided the hottest new spring offerings for women.

The committee members responsible for making this event a huge success were Sandy Fiacchino, Christina D’Ambrosio, and Charlotte Sorci as the Chairs, Other committee members included Nancy Kenefick, Leila Porter, Kathleen Knight, Terrie O’Day, Cathy Lange, Kathy Vaughan, Maggie Glimco, Emily Toth, Chuck Daniello, Tracy Rabe, Gail Carey, and Marianna Mascioletti.

The CIF moms went above and beyond in organizing the auction items and ensuring the raffle was a success. Chuck Daniello DJed the event and did an amazing job with the entertainment. He kept the runway hopping with excitement. Tracy Rabe, who served as the MC, did a wonderful job introducing our models and announcing the play by play.

With almost 300 guests in attendance, the IAET once again proved why this is an event that everyone looks forward to. For more information and pictures, please visit our website at www.iaet-chicago.org. We hope to see you all at our next event!
