The Chicago-based restaurant group Ballyhoo Hospitality this winter opened its 14th location, DeNucci’s Hinsdale, located at 8 E. 1st Street in downtown Hinsdale. DeNucci’s has existing locations in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood and suburban Highland Park.
Guests at the Hinsdale location can find familiar classics like Branzino Piccata, Eggplant Parmesan and Veal Marsala, alongside nightly specials such as Lasagna Bolognese. Leading the kitchen, chef Salvatore “Sal” Lo Cascio lends his signature touch to the restaurant’s Monday Chicago Tavern-Style Pizza Day. Gluten-free Sicilian-style pizza is also available.
“Opening in Hinsdale is both a milestone and a natural next step for Ballyhoo,” founder Ryan O’Donnell said in a press release. “For us, this expansion represents stepping outside of our North Shore comfort zone into a new community where we can bring the same sense of hospitality and neighborhood spirit that defines all of our restaurants. Hinsdale has that energy, and DeNucci’s is the perfect fit.”
Ballyhoo’s portfolio also includes Gemini, Coda di Volpe, Old Pueblo Cantina and Petit Pomeroy in Chicago; Sophia Steak in Chicago, Wilmette and Lake Forest; Jackman & Co. in Glenview; Pizza by Sal and Buck Russell’s in Wilmette; and Pomeroy in Winnetka. Zenzi Den is expected to come to Glenview this year, and Arkadia to Winnetka next year.
