Casa Italia’s 2012 Italian Language & Culture Summer Camp will run Monday through Friday from June 18 to July 13. (The camp will be closed on July 4.)
For four weeks this summer, children ages 4 to 13 can immerse themselves in the wonders of Italian language and culture through a wide range of enjoyable and educational activities on Casa Italia’s beautiful grounds.
Our morning program will focus on teaching your children the Italian language through songs, games, storytelling, movies and skits. During the afternoon, children can choose from a variety of activities, including soccer, bocce, dancing, cooking, diet & nutrition, etiquette, gardening, fencing and theatrical productions.
The camp is run by certified and skilled Italian language instructors. Fees include instruction material, daily lunch, various nutritional snacks including fresh fruit and ice cream, fruit drinks and bottled water throughout the day, and one complimentary T-shirt.
Transportation is available for a fee of $295 for four weeks, with a minimum of 20 children from the same location. Children can be picked up from the following locations: Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii, Harlem & Irving Plaza or Addison Park District. All buses will have either a teacher or counselor on board at all times. Other locations will be considered.
Extended hours before and after camp are available for an additional fee, and run from 7-9 a.m. and 3-6 p.m. Camp may be purchased by the week, but not by the day. Only the first and second weeks of camp may be purchased individually. Sibling discounts apply, but only for campers who register for 3 or 4 weeks of camp.
