Founded in 1977, the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame celebrates the contributions of Italian Americans to the world of sports. Located at 1431 W. Taylor St., Chicago, the 44,000-square-foot facility features interactive exhibits, a performing arts center, an events center, banquet facilities and a gift shop. Annual events include an induction and awards ceremony in November and programs include “Second Wind,” which encourages physically challenged athletes to live their lives to the fullest.
