Gina Arquilla DeBoni has been appointed managing partner of Romanucci & Blandin. She joined the Chicago-based law firm in 2010.
As one of the few female managing attorneys in the state of Illinois, Arquilla DeBoni is responsible for the overall management and quality assurance of the firm’s legal and compliance services for its clients.
“Gina is an asset to our firm and a passionate advocate of justice for her clients,” says Antonio Romanucci, founding partner at Romanucci & Blandin. “We are extremely proud to promote her to the position of managing partner and know she will continue to see success in this next chapter of her career.”
DeBoni is active in her profession and the governmental sphere. Last year along with her client, she joined and actively supported a national advocacy effort to seek passage of the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (SESTA/FOSTA), which was overwhelmingly passed in the U.S. Senate and signed into law by President Donald Trump. DeBoni now has her sights set on ways to create real and meaningful reform around the way ethylene oxide, a level one carcinogen that is being breathed in every day throughout our country, is used and handled.
DeBoni has also volunteered her time to several legal, political and philanthropic organizations including the Illinois State Bar Association, where she served on the Board of Governors and as Chair of the Young Lawyers Division. She also served the American Bar Association House of Delegates and as Past-Chair of the Women’s Advisory Board for U.S. Senator Mark Kirk.
DeBoni has been named a Rising Star and Top Women Lawyer in Illinois by Super Lawyers, an Emerging Lawyer and Leading Lawyer by the Law Bulletin Publishing Co., ISBA’s Young Lawyer of the Year in 2010, one of the National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 40 under 40, and one of the Ten Best Attorneys in Illinois for the Client Satisfaction Award in 2016-17 by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys.
