OSDIA state lodge installs two presidents

D’Antonio and Cianci

The Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America Grand Lodge of IL/WI has installed new presidents for a pair of Illinois lodges. The OSDIA state grand lodge encompasses seven local lodges in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Mario D’Antonio will preside over Leone D’Oro Lodge #2700, which meets in Tinley Park. Formerly a network design engineer at AT&T, D’Antonio currently is a senior field architect at Insight Inc., where he provides Fortune 100 companies with technology solutions that use artificial intelligence in a responsible way. “Home is where you make it,” he says. “If Italians stand together as one family in the world community, we cannot fail. Additionally, if our work is fully informed from a place of love, we cannot fail as a whole.”

Sandra Cianci is the new president of Amerigo Vespucci Lodge #1722, which meets in Kankakee. She currently serves as the circuit clerk for Kankakee County, a position she has been elected to since 2010. Cianci is very active in civic affairs in her area. “Legend has it that my great-uncle Matthew Luparello was a member of the Chicago Lawn Lodge and was involved in the beginnings of the lodge,” she says. “I’m interested in learning more about this legend.”
