The law firm of Amari & Locallo has once again received high marks from their peers in the field of real estate tax reduction.

Partners Leonard Amari and John Locallo were voted the top real estate tax lawyers in Illinois in the 2022 edition of Super Lawyer magazine, and associate attorney Vincent Oppedisano was recognized as a “Rising Star” in the field.

Last year, Amari was ranked by Leading Lawyer magazine as the No. 3 lawyer in the state in the real estate tax field, and Locallo was ranked No. 9. Both Amari and Locallo were rated “The Midwest’s Top Lawyers” in their field in this year’s National Law Journal.

With offices in Chicago’s River North neighborhood in Cook County, and in Bloomingdale in DuPage County, Amari & Locallo concentrates exclusively in reducing real estate taxes on commercial, industrial and residential properties in Illinois.

Attorneys Leonard Amari and John Locallo have been voted among the top 10 real estate tax lawyers in Illinois by Leading Lawyer magazine. Amari is the founder and co-managing partner of Amari & Locallo, and Locallo is a partner in the firm. Amari was ranked No. 3 and Locallo No. 9 based on peer recommendation and approval by the Leading Lawyer advisory board. Leonard F. Amari and John G. Locallo — partners in the Law Offices of Amari & Locallo — have been selected by their peers as Leading Lawyers in the category of Real Estate Law and Real Estate Taxes. Fellow partner Joseph F. Locallo III and associates Vesna Marusic and Vincent Oppedisano have been selected as Emerging Lawyers. The distinctions are earned by fewer than 2 percent of the nearly 89,000-plus licensed attorneys in the state of Illinois.

In addition, partner Katherine Amari-O’Dell has been selected to serve as one of two vice presidents of the Harwood Heights/Norridge Chamber of Commerce. A 2000 graduate of The John Marshall Law School, Amari-O’Dell served for three years as an assistant Cook County state’s attorney in the office’s Real Estate Tax Division before joining the firm.

With offices in Chicago and Bloomingdale, Amari & Locallo concentrates in reducing real estate taxes in Cook and the collar counties for all types of properties, emphasizing commercial, industrial and multi-unit residential.
